過曲欄，入一小舍，朱次且不敢前。女回首，舉手中花，遙遙作招狀，乃趨之。舍內寂無人；遽擁之，亦不甚拒，遂與狎好。既而閉戶去，囑勿咳，夜乃復至，如此二日。女伴共覺之，共搜得生，戲謂女曰：「腹內小郎已許大，尚發蓬蓬學處子耶？」共捧簪珥，促令上鬟。女含羞不語。一女曰：「妹妹姊姊，吾等勿久住，恐人不歡。」群笑而去。

The Painted Wall (From "100 Chinese Myths and Fantasies")  
After passing a winding banister, he arrived at a small room, where he dared not venture farther. But the girl looked back at him, waving the flowers in her hand as if urging him to come in. He entered. The room was quiet with nobody else around. Zhu suddenly pulled the girl over and embraced her. She did not resist him, and the two then made love to each other. After this, the girl rose to leave the room. As she was closing the door behind her, she told Zhu not to cough or make any sound. She came back at night. Things went on like this for a couple of days . Then, the young lady's companions, who had already smelt something fishy, searched the room and found the hidden Mr. Zhu. "Look at you," they laughed at the girl, "the baby in you is already a sizable one, why still wear your hair loose like a virgin?" They gave her some hair-spins and ear-rings and bade her bind her hair, at which she blushed but said nothing. Then one of the ladies said to the others, "Sisters, let's go. Two's company, three's none." At this they all went away giggling.
