詩篇二十三

相信大部份基督徒都會認為這段詩篇是一篇精華，但不知有否發覺中文版與英文版有所區別？中文版和合本讀上去有點生硬，所以不在此列出，我們來看看英文版：_

The lord is my shepherd
I shall not want
He maketh me  to lie down
in green pasture
he leadeth me
beside the still waters
He restorech my soul
he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake,
yea,though I walk through  the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil:
For thou art with me:
thy rod and thy staff they comfort me,
Thou prepares a table before me
in the present of mine enemies
thou anointest my head with oil.
my cup runneth over;
Surely goodness and mercy
Shall follow me all the days of my life
and I will dwell in the house
of the lord for ever.

這段英文版，當the lord 耶和華帶領你的時候，動詞後加上了th,當耶和華安慰和膏油你的頭時，動詞後就加上了est,那麼當耶和華懲罰時候，又怎樣？

少見多怪。
今日讀古文古詩都會遇上今日已不用的字彙哩。

用 -th.  -st 都是古時的文法。

舉個例子,在英文上, 我們會說:
I do;  You do, He does.

在古文中,
卻是:
I do;
You dost;
He doth
(連第二身單數, 動詞上都加 -st)


-st 是用在第二身單數,
-th 是用在第三身單數

anointeth在聖經出現N次, 因為那N次都是第三身單數。


所以，　基本上，　都是一句：
你唔識野！

這是根據單數第二人稱還是第三人稱變化的。

You ----- est

He ----- eth

沒有其它多餘的意思。

你自己比較一下，這些動詞除了第二三者作用外，是否有另一種意味作用？讀經-無論是甚麼經有時不可以只看表面的

無論是第二稱或第三稱prepare , prepares 這個動詞就只是一個普通動詞，與leadeth, anointest,anointeth 有不同之的意義，後者用宗教術語有「加持」的作用，即是你入教堂，神父在你的頭上點了聖水一樣
