普通的高中生一天的作息時間表：

(Note: Of course, every American student』s schedule varies from person to person. However, most American kids in high school would have schedules similar to this one.)

(注意：當然，每個美國高中生的時間表會有所不同，但是，大多數的高中生的作息時間和這個是比較相似的。）


- 6:00 a.m.:Yawn~!!! Ugh, time to wake up. OK, wake up… must wake up… zzz…
- 早上6：00：打呵欠~！哎喲，該起床了。好吧，起來……需要起來……zzz……

- 6:15:Aagh! Oh no, I』m late! Hurry, hit the showers! Grab breakfast! Run out the door!
- 6：15：啊~~~！糟糕，我晚了！又遲到了！快點，洗個澡！吃早飯！跑出門去！

- 6:45:Whew, I caught the bus! Now, quick- study for that quiz in Spanish class!
- 6：45：(鬆了一口氣),我趕上校車了!現在快點複習,今天西班牙語還要測驗。

- 7:30:School starts. First class: American History. President Truman came to office in the year…
- 7：30：開始上課了。第一門課：美國歷史。杜魯門總統是哪一年執政的……

- 8:20:Second class: Spanish II. There』s a quiz today! Now, how do you say 「SAVE ME!」 in Spanish???
- 8：20：第二節課：西班牙語II。今天有測驗！現在，怎麼用西班牙語說：「救命啊！」？？？

- 9:10:Third class: Pre-calculus. I got back last week』s test: I scored 95%. Not bad!
- 9：10：第三節課：微積分學基礎。我得到上星期的考試成績：95分。還不錯！

-10:00:Fourth class: English Literature Honors. What deep meanings are hidden in Shakespeare』s phrase 「to be or not to be」?
- 10：00：第四節課：英文文學作品――快班。莎士比亞的話：「是生存還是死亡？」有什麼深刻的含義？

- 10:50: Fifth class: Physical education. I hope my gym socks don』t smell!
- 10：50：第五節課：體育。我希望我的運動襪沒有臭味！
- 11:40: Lunch time, finally! I』m starving. That lasagna looks really delicious.
- 11：40：終於到午餐時間了！我快餓死了。塗了肉末番茄汁的烤寬麵條看上去真的很好吃。

- 12:30: Sixth class: AP Biology. Test on the human immune system. Good thing I studied last night!
- 12：30：第六節課：生物學。測試了人的免疫系統。幸虧我昨天晚上複習地比較多！

- 1:20 p.m.: Seventh class: Sculpture. Uh oh, I think my model of the horse looks more like a hippo.
- 下午1：20：第七節課：雕刻。糟糕，我想我做的馬的模型看上去像河馬。

- 2:30:End of school.
- 2：30：放學了。

- 2:50:Soccer practice starts. How…(pant)...many laps do…(pant)…we have to…(pant)… run today…?
- 2：50：英式足球訓練。今天……（喘氣）要跑……（喘氣）幾圈？

- 5:00:Soccer practice ends. Get a quick shower and grab a snack before catching the 5:15 after school bus home.
- 5：00：訓練結束了。趕在5：15回家前快去沖個澡，買一份零食。

- 5:40:Home at last! I』m exhausted. I』ll take a short break before I start my homework. I』m going to call Megan on the phone and chat with some friends online.
- 5：40：回家了！我精疲力盡。在我做作業以前，先稍微休息一下。我和Megan通了電話並和網上的朋友聊天。

- 6:30inner time. Mom, isn』t it Jeff』s (my brother) turn to do the dishes today?
- 6：30：晚飯時間。媽媽，今天是該Jeff（我的弟弟）洗碗了吧？

- 7:15iano lessons start. I』m practicing hard for the recital next weekend!
- 7：15：鋼琴課開始了。我要努力，下個周末我就要參加比賽了！

- 8:15:Start homework. I have an hour worth of science homework, an English essay to write, twenty pages to read in the history text book,and a math quiz to study for. Blech…

- 9:30:I』m stuck on this dumb English paper. Maybe if I turn on the T.V.for just a few minutes I』ll get some inspiration… oh yay, Friends is on!
- 9：30：煩人的隨筆寫了一半不知道怎麼寫了。也許我看一會兒電視會獲得一些靈感……oh yay，《六人行》！

- 9:50ad is yelling at me to turn off the T.V. and get back to work. Easy for him to say, he doesn』t have to write 850 words on Hamlet!
- 9：50：爸爸對我大叫著關掉電視，讓我回去做作業。寫850個單詞的《哈姆雷特》的隨筆哪像他說的那麼簡單？

- 11:45: Yawn… I finished the Hamlet essay, quickly reviewed my math notes, and read 9.5 pages from the history textbook… I』ll read the rest on the bus tomorrow… right now I』m going to sleep!
- 11：45：打呵欠……我終於完成了隨筆，簡單地複習了數學筆記，歷史書讀了九頁半，明天在校車上再讀完……現在我累死了，必須睡覺了！
