緊急求助--要吃官司了55555555555555

替朋友收一張支票,兩百多刀, 上面寫的是:

to the order of
朋友 c/o 我

因為朋友通訊地址不確定,我就問他可不可以我把支票兌進我自己的賬戶,再在網上轉帳給他,朋友說可以,我就這麼做了.

一個多月後,朋友的賬戶被凍結了!簽發支票方認為有欺詐行為,準備報警了!

這時我才明白,c/o(轉交,care of)並沒有賦予我兌支票的權力!我糊塗啊!

朋友也幫我解釋,說是一場誤會,可對方還是堅持要報警.我該怎麼辦啊,朋友們? 就要這麼稀里糊塗留下犯罪紀錄了?

If you are in the U.S., you don't have to be worry about it.  Because the $300 minimum to be accept by the court.  Less then $300 who cares?

The court will accept your explanation,  just in case judge ask you and you just tell the truth and you may counter plaintiff to law sue the person who wrote the check.  Because the title write "Pay to the order of".  You have rights to deposit.
