The Tremendous Negative Karma of Speech | 口業如山

說話要溫和，盡量說悅耳語。惡口罵人、說粗語，會影響他人的心境，讓他人生氣。

Speak gently and try to adopt euphoric and pleasant words. Using malicious and harsh words against others are offensive which will severely affect their mood.


其罪過有：
第一，這是傷害眾生，違反了皈依戒；
第二，這是擾亂他人的心境，違犯了菩薩戒。
第三，讓對方生起了嗔恨心，會毀壞他人數劫中積累的善根和福德。

The resultant offences are:  
1)  it hurts the sentient beings, which is against the refuge precepts;
2) it disrupts others』 state of mind which is against Bodhisattva percepts,
3) it leads to anger and hatred which shall destroy others』 previously accumulated virtuous roots and merits during their past infinite lives.


所以說話一定要注意，沒有必要平白無故地傷害他人。

Therefore one must be mindful of his words as there is no apparent reason to hurt others』 feelings.
