Website content/social media manager
Job Specification
The website content/social media manager will be responsible developing the voice for all aspects of the organization』s online presence. In addition to writing, editing, and proofreading site content, this person will also work closely with the website development team to maintain site standards with regard to new development.
The website content/social media manager will also implement the Company』s Social Media Strategy, developing product/service awareness, generating inbound traffic and encouraging online purchase. This role coordinates with the internal Marketing and PR teams to ensure consistency in voice and cultivate a social media referral network.
Responsibilities
• Coordinate web projects across departments
• Maintain a consistent look and feel throughout all web properties
• Working with a cross-departmental team to build and maintain all web content
• Track and report on all site metrics on a weekly basis
• Manage social media campaigns and day-to-day activities. Duties include online advocacy, writing editorial, community-outreach efforts, promotion planning and execution, etc.
• Manage presence in social networking sites such as Facebook, weibo, youtube, and other similar community sites, writing, posting and replying on relevant blogs, and seeding content into social applications as needed
• Become an advocate of the Company in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate
• Manage a Blogger outreach program and build an active brand ambassador network to spread the word about the Company
• Monitor effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of social media programs, and analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results
Requirements
• The content manager will work closely with technical, business development, and marketing members of our organization, so strong communication skills are needed.
• The ideal candidate will also have experience managing online marketing and outreach campaigns. Tasks require a strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Strong bi-lingual (English and Chinese) communication skills, both written and oral
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Understand website structure and has advanced knowledge of HTML and experience with popular content management systems
• Understand google analytic and can provide professional suggestions for website improvement.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Excellent excel skills for reporting
• Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively within a cross-departmental team
• 2-3 years experience managing content and production for high traffic websites
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants (Facebook, weibo, Youtube, etc.) and how they can be deployed in different scenarios
• Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format, and build and maintain relationships
• Team player, with the confidence to take the lead and guide other departments when necessary
• Have a good knowledge of principles of SEO
• Web graphic design knowledge and experience is a plus.
