I lived in sydney between 1997-1998 and lived in Fremont bay area between 2001-2002, Now I live in Windsor, Canada, I think I get more experience than most people to discuss this topic.
Sydney is a one of the most beautiful city in the world(my opinion), but as a visiable minority(Asian), Australia is not good place to live(lots white trashes), hard to find a good job, pay is lower( compare CANADA, not even montion Usa), if you want to do bussiness, it is very far away from the rest of world.
Fremont is very nice place to live, very easy to find good job(NOT now), pay is very good, tax is low, house is very expensive, you don't feel minority there, almost too many asian faces in there, but earthquake and high living cost let you feel under pressure all the time.
Windsor is at the south of Detriot, it is relatively good weather in Canada, winter is still very long, unemployed rate is very high. but crime rate still very low, tax is very high, but living cost and house is very cheap. almost every people is immigrant in Canada, you feel pretty much like local after few years, so I like Canada better(my opinion) it is livable and comfortable, but like people says , some people likes carrots, some people likes cucumbers, who knows? hope everybody find their best place to call it home. |
