音樂名稱英漢對照及翻譯探討

馳名世界的The Beatles, 在中國翻譯成甲殼蟲，在海外翻譯成披頭士或者披頭四。

我覺得，翻譯成甲殼蟲是創始人的疏忽，看錯了一個字母。Beetles才是甲殼蟲。後來小錯鑄成，將錯就錯，約定俗成了。說你是甲殼蟲，你就是甲殼蟲，不是也是。


上海聲像出版社發行的SHANIA TWAIN 的專輯 Come On Over, 不知道為什麼翻譯成[桑妮亞

哦？第一次知道甲殼蟲叫錯了。不過大家都錯了那就不錯了。說你是你就是，不是也是。

歌名歌詞的翻譯隨意性很大，像詩一樣。就是原文不見得就一種意思。所以翻譯后就算變點味也無所謂。
<回到我身邊>要比<到這來>溫柔多啦。hehe.

感謝回帖。上述專輯中，沒有歌曲叫《回到我身邊》。專輯的中文名稱可能不是來自翻譯，而是另起爐灶。如果是翻譯，我認為是錯譯而非「活譯」。

在網上的CD資料中，「十大姐」被翻譯成The Tenth Sister, 意思是「第十姐」。而歌詞提到「10個姐妹」，所以我改成了Ten Sisters。

在網上的CD資料中，「玉鳥」被翻譯成Jade Bird。但是在英文里，Jade Bird 是用翠玉雕刻成的鳥，顯然不會唱。所以我改成了Birds。

我覺得，與其把劉三姐音譯成 Liu San Jie ，不如意譯。What is the English for 桂林歌仙 or 灕江歌后？

Third Sister Liu 的譯法也準確，雖然被人譏笑，但是譏笑者沒說出錯在哪裡，也沒拿出替代方案。紅樓夢英譯本中的尤二姐尤三姐也是 Second Sister Yu and Third Sister Yu

有資料這樣註解：musical: 歌劇，歌舞劇，音樂（喜劇）電影

其實，musical 不是歌劇，在中國叫音樂劇，海外也叫歌舞劇。儘管有的書把它稱作輕歌劇，但是輕歌劇這個名字沒流傳開來。歌劇是Opera。茶花女是歌劇，賣花女是音樂劇。

有些音樂劇不是喜劇。例如悲慘世界 Les Miserables，又如  Jekyll and Hyde。

We have got 3 randitions of 小河淌水 now: A running stream; Brook Running Water;  Small_River_Is_Running.

As to 馬鈴響來玉鳥兒唱 Horse bell jingling and green (feathered) birds singing, I am not sure that 玉鳥 is green.  玉 could be red, too.  A bird lover said 玉鳥 is just another name for 芙蓉鳥。

玉色: 淡青色 (「現代漢語詞典」，中國社會科學院語言研究所編) light bluish green.
