There are two kind of fishing licenses in Florida, one for the Fresh water the other is for the Salt water, you do need license in fresh water fishing, but you do not need license for fishing on your own fresh water, (i,e, your own pond or lake); as for the salt water fishing, if you are fishing on the jetty you do not need saltwater fishing license, but if you are saltwater fishing on a boat (not commercially fishing licensed) then you will need a saltwater fishing license.
