保羅-莫里哀


1925年3月4日，保羅-莫里哀誕生於法國南部馬思聖街15號舊港尤波而附近。

在四兄弟之中，他排行老幺。他的父親除服務於當時的郵局之外，也從事業餘的音樂活動。

4歲時，保羅-莫里哀開始彈奏鋼琴；

5歲時，他的音樂才華受到家人的注意。

10歲開始進入馬賽國立音樂院研習4年正統音樂，並以第一名的優異成績畢業。

馬賽音樂院畢業之後，保羅-莫里哀立志要成為古典音樂會上的鋼琴演奏家。

后因迷上當時流行的爵士樂，而改變此雄心大志。

17歲時，其自組樂團開始在歐洲各地巡迴演奏。

他的音樂才華被巴克雷|(Barca)唱片公司總裁發掘，邀他為該公司旗下的首席歌星，擔任錄音伴奏。

曾分別為法國著名的歌星夏而-亞茲納弗(C.Aznayour)、米洛依-馬締歐(M.Mathieo)、達莉妲(Dida)及莫利斯-西瓦利耶(M.Chevaier)…等作曲、伴奏。

除為歌星伴奏外，他也寫過多首當時曾流行的歌曲，如《懷念的約會》(Rendez-Vous Au avandou)、《賭命》(Sur Ma Vir)、《浪漫行程》(a ongue Marche)等。

1963年與法國另兩位情調音樂樂團指揮法蘭克-波賽而(Frank Pource)及雷蒙-魯菲而(Raymonf efevre)合寫了一首著名的流行曲《天涯海角永相隨》(I Wi Foow Him)，後來由小蒞姬-瑪琪(itte Peggy March)唱紅，風靡一時。

96年，此歌再度出現在喜劇片《修女也瘋狂》中，重燃熱門。

1965年離開巴克雷唱片公司，同年正式組成了一支象徵著他個人的大樂團--e Grand Orchestra De Pau Mauriat。

1966年保羅-莫里哀與法國飛利浦唱片公司簽訂長期合約。

此後他的一系列演奏錄音正式由飛利浦唱片公司(總公司在荷蘭)向全球發行。同時，他最燦爛的音樂生涯也由此展開。

1967年他將一首歐洲電視網歌唱大賽(Euovisio Contest)的第四名歌曲《愛情是憂鬱》(ove Is Bue/'Amour Est Bue)改編灌錄成演奏曲后，收錄這首樂曲的該張專集唱片也在全球各地創下了銷量六百萬張的輝煌紀錄。

從此，保羅-莫里哀揚名國際。

1968年《愛情是憂鬱的》衝出歐洲大陸，風靡全美，連續6周蟬聯美國Biboard熱門歌曲排行榜第一名。

2月，保羅-莫里哀應邀參加美國最具權威的電視節目《蘇利文劇場》(Ed Suivan Show)的演出。

同年並獲法國ACC唱片大獎。

1969年保羅-莫里哀首度率團前往日本公演，他那清新鮮明的瑰麗音色立刻席捲整個日本樂壇。

自1971年起，保羅-莫里哀每年都率團前往日本公演，至1998年止，他已經連續第22次率團赴日公演。

1970年應墨西哥樂迷之請，灌錄了《愛情海的珍珠》(Peneope)，同時也風靡全球。

1975年保羅-莫里哀率團首度前往韓國漢城公演，對親耳聽到的韓國民謠《阿里郎》非常喜愛；

1976年在巴黎專屬錄音室Studio Des Danes完成了這首韓國民謠的演奏錄音，題名是(Eastern ove Song)；

1976年將他每年訪日公演時的印象化作音符，由他自己譜曲、編曲兼指揮，在巴黎完成了一張《日本紀行》(ove Sounds Journey)的錄音專輯。

1979年保羅-莫里哀將日本的一些流行歌曲改編灌錄成一張《日本流行歌曲演奏專集》(Message D' Amour)。

1981年保羅-莫里哀親自擔任日本版畫家池田滿壽夫所執導的電影(Roma Daa Finestra)的全片配樂工作。

1982年在巴黎專屬錄音室灌錄了一首台灣校園民謠《龍的傳人》，除首張華語樂曲世界級大樂團演奏之外，更在華人世界掀起了一陣"保羅-莫里哀"的狂飆。

除此之外，保羅-莫里哀也為香港女歌星雷安娜譜寫了一首港劇的主題曲《痴情劫》。

1982年該團鋼琴手傑拉而-岡比斯(Gerard Gambus)離開樂團，另尋獨立。

從此編曲工作完全落入保羅-莫里哀一個人的手中。

1983年12月11日及12日保羅-莫里哀首度率團赴台灣地區公演。

保羅-莫里哀旅行公演的足跡已經遍及全球五大洲，所到之處，無不受到熱烈的歡迎。

1984年他演奏了齊豫的《橄欖樹》。

1985年再次赴台訪問，帶來了黃鶯鶯的《只有分離》。

1986年他為台灣樂迷寫了一首創作曲《台北之歌》(Song For Taipei/Thinking Of You)。

1987年他推出三部不同主題的專集《小夜曲》(Serenade)，《伊比利亞》(Iberia)、《長記我心》(Remember)。

1988年推出《法國金曲集》(Best Of France)。

1990年台灣當紅歌星童安格演唱了保羅-莫里哀的創作曲《愛的主題曲》成為當時熱門話題，此曲至今仍在中國東方航空公司班機上作為安全須知安全短片的背景音樂使用，估與原曲名稱(PM Eastern ove Song)有關。同年還推出一張保羅-莫里哀樂團自身的名曲回顧專集(Retrospective)，用全新的編曲手法改編演奏了過往二十年樂團的招牌曲目。

1991年出版了保羅-莫里哀樂團生涯紀念的音樂會集錦《金色音樂會》(God Concert)以及一張收錄改編12首台灣地區流行曲的專輯《其實你不懂我的心》，包括標題曲及《大約在冬季》、《我的未來不是夢》等等，91年起，他暫停對日本的巡迴演出，專心錄音工作和享受晚年。

1992年爵士樂名曲改編集(Nostaiazz)。

1993年為飛利浦灌錄最後一張唱片《激情》(Emotion)。正式告別當時寶麗金集團。

簽約日本玻麗佳麗(Poy Canyon)。此時正值保羅-莫里哀灌錄了第1000首曲目。

1994年-1996年陸續出版《電影金曲集》(Soundtracks)與《恰克與飛鳥名曲改編集》。

1996年2月美國( board雜誌)出版特刊《保羅-莫里哀30年樂壇成就特輯》。

保羅-莫里哀樂團於96年兩度訪日演出，回饋樂迷三十年的支持。

1997年保羅-莫里哀再度訪日。在28個城市作了36場公演，這也是他三十年間第21次在日本公演。

訪華事宜在繼續洽談中。

1998年保羅-莫里哀宣布正式告別演出舞台，並與樂團接班人Gies Gambus同台指揮。

音樂會定名為《再見音樂會之旅》(SAYONARA Concert Tour)。

在橫濱及東京，保羅-莫里哀見到了邀他訪華的中國樂迷徐毅，再商訪華行程。

1999年保羅-莫里哀開始了退休生活，而樂團也暫休一年準備新世紀的出發。

2000年12月8日在結束日本巡迴之後，樂團首度巡迴出訪中國內地。
