我的名字在這裡——中國地震孤兒情動澳洲民眾

在全國上下搶險救災的同時，越來越多的人們將目光投向地震中那些失去雙親的可憐孩子們。5月17日，四川省民政廳緊急向全社會作出說明，在地震中失去父母的孤兒和暫時查找不到父母的兒童已由當地政府統一照顧安置，請全社會放心。待災區秩序恢復正常，將儘早開展孤兒收養工作，使符合法定條件的收養申請人可以依法收養災區兒童。

這令人傷心的故事也傳到了世界的各個角落。澳大利亞最大的報紙《THE AGE》在5月16日發表了一篇他們駐中國特派記者的文章。看后很傷感，現翻譯過來大家一起看看。真不知道那些孤兒以後怎麼辦，人生就在一瞬間改變了。

"MY NAME is here," said Li Chunchun, lifting her shirt and pointing to her tummy. A nurse at Mianyang Central Hospital said the policeman who found five-year-old Li had written her name there so she wouldn't get lost. Little Li said she had been walking with Grandma back to school after lunch, singing the song the class was planning to sing that afternoon. "Xiao yu sha sha sha, Zhongzi sha sha sha, quntian yao lai li (The sound of drizzling rain, the sound of seeds growing, spring is coming)."
「我的名字在這裡」，李春春（音譯）掀起她的襯衫指著她的小肚皮。綿陽中心醫院的一名護士告訴記者，警察發現了5歲的春春並把她的名字寫在那裡，這樣她就不會忘了。小春春說那時候她和奶奶吃完午飯後一起走回她的學校，一路上她唱著那天下午她們班準備要唱的那首歌。「小雨沙沙沙，種子洒洒灑，春天要來了」。

Li prattled away: "A rock this big (stretching her arms) smashed Grandma in the eyes and nose. There was lots of blood. I called Grandma but she didn't say anything."
春春打開了話匣子：「一塊這麼大的石頭（她展開雙臂比劃著）砸在奶奶的眼睛和鼻子上，流了好多的血，我叫奶奶但是她不說話。」

Where was Grandma now?
奶奶現在在那裡呢？

"She's dead. What does dead mean?"
「她死了，死是什麼意思啊？」

After a bumbled adult explanation, Li asked if Grandma would come back to make her some food. First she wanted some meat, then an apple and a banana. Li showed off the plaits in her hair that Grandma had braided. Her mother had bought the yellow ribbons that tied them. On Tuesday night Li hadn't quite found the words to describe her house. Yesterday she answered in pictures. One showed a cottage under a sun, a flower and two stars. Another drawing showed three people: father in the middle, mother on the left, and Li on the right.
經一番成年人含含糊糊的解釋后，春春問她奶奶是否還會回來給她做東西吃。她最想吃肉，然後再希望要一個蘋果和一根香蕉。春春讓我們看她的扎在她辮子上的發繩，那個辮子是奶奶幫她辮的，扎辮子的黃絲帶是她媽媽買的。在那個周二的晚上春春還不能找到確切的詞來描述她家。昨天她畫了幾張畫來說明她的家，那是一個太陽下的小屋，還有一朵花和兩個小星星。另一張畫上有三個人：爸爸在中間，媽媽在左邊，春春在右邊。

In the next bed, a four-year-old from Beichuan, Shen Xiaoyu, was refusing to drink, eat, talk or smile. Her face was a mess, with 17 stitches. After a while she answered a question: "My dad's called Shen Shuneng. I'm from Pei Pei Kindergarten. You get them to tell my father to come and get me." A volunteer nurse said her father was killed inside his home.
隔壁一張病床上，來自北川的四歲的沈小雨（音譯）不肯喝水，吃飯，交談甚至一個微笑。她的臉上一塌糊塗縫了17針。過了一會兒她回答了一個問題：「我爸爸叫沈書能（音譯），我在培培幼兒園上學。你告訴她們叫我爸爸來接我回家。」一名志願者護士告訴記者她爸爸已經死在自己的家中了。

The oldest patient was Jing Li, perhaps 11 or 12. She understood her predicament better than the rest of the orphans. Everybody took care not to talk around her about the quake or her family. They asked that nobody mention "Beichuan". That word makes her scream.
年齡最大的病人叫李靜（音譯），大概有十一二歲了。她比其他孤兒更能理解當前的困境。每一個人都小心翼翼不在她身邊提及地震和她的家庭。他們說誰都不能提起「北川」，這個詞能讓她嚎啕大哭。

留給這些孩子的創傷將陪伴一生。我們，政府都應盡到責任。
