During one ratings period in 1998, it was estimated that 5.4 million people watched the tonight show, with Jay Leno. If the number of people watching Jay Leno was 1.8% more than the number of viewer watching Nightline with Ted Koppel, approximately how many viewers did Ted Koppel have? Round your answer to the nearest tenth of a million viewers.
x+1.8%x=5.4 x=5.3045

THE NEAREST TENTH OF A MILLION 是什麼意思? 那這個答案應該是什麼?

"The nearest tenth of 1 million" = 1/10 of 1 million = 100,000. For example, if the exact answer is 1,515,600, you only have to say "(about) 1.5 million."
