Hi, Frank,
This is cathy, an employee from workshop of MRS. Maybe you don't know me, it's ok. I 'd like to tell what I feel. By the way, are you and Angel from the same family? (Angel is my manager) Because I noticed your last names are the same.
Time flies like an arrow. I have worked in our company for over one month. I found there are big changes in our workshop. It has become very organized and neat from disorganization and mess. I like the current environment more. The people are much nicer; do you notice this kind of change? Angel is a very good manager; he is very smart as well. I am very happy to have him as our manager and he is willing to take good suggestion any time.
As a common employee, I have tried my best to do my work and tried my best to affect the other employees in a positive way. And I always try to find a way to do things fast, good and in an easiest (I think) way.
I don't know whether Angel told you that or not. One day when I label the products, I noticed one package is very beautiful and the other ones are ugly. So I took two (one is good and other one is bad) to ask Angel," If you are a customer, which package do you like?" "Why? For sure it's that one." " Then, why don't we make it like that one?" "No, it takes time and we have to add one more people, we need to pay more, if the customers don't complain, we just let them go like this." I understand Angel is thinking about company's in the near benefit. However, I think in another way, right now we know the competition among companies is
Very competitive, if we want to win more orders from the customers, we need to enhance our image of products. At that moment, I didn't say anything. I was just thinking how to change that kind of situation with the same amount employees.
It is so happened that we did the same products the next morning. I got the chance to collect them. I found a good way to make it even on side by pressing them at the same time. How excited I am! After the products are sealed, they all are so pretty. I was so happy. Even though I felt a little bit tired, I was still satisfied with what I had done. Some people asked me, " why you are so silly? You know, they just pay you that much, why you work so hard." Maybe my personality makes me like that, Whatever I do I will try my best to do it well. For sure I wish I could be paid more. But, It won't let me down even though the little payment. I think I will benefit from this practice in the near future. Once I got good character, I am not of not finding a better job.
As we all know, I work fast and good. At the same time I am in a good lead ship of work. Like in China, company will have a very good system to reward those who do special contribution, which stimulates the other employee's initiative. Do we have this kind of policy? By the way, you want to pay a little more who can do double work or pay double for two persons who work as the former one?
Sorry, that's my personal opinion. If you can't accept, just forget about it!

Hi Mingyu,
Thank you for your e-mail.
I like when our employee's (full time or part time) take extra care on the work they do and also
try to improve the system.
I agree with you, things always can be better and that must be our goal to always improve.
Each sector/team manager need the support of his/her staff in order to do the best possible work,
you are more than welcome to bring suggestions to Angel for him to consider, try always to find the
appropriate time to discuss your observation points with him.
As far as salary is concern, we must keep in line with our competition otherwise soon our prices will
have to increase and this will make us uncompetitive in the market place, at the same time I take pride
knowing that we always are trying to improve the salary and working conditions to all concerned.
We as a company always try to re-ward hard working employees, this been by giving them salary increases
and/or offering them full time job positions as they become available and we feel they could be a good fit for such
positions.
If you look around the company, 70% or more of the full time employees we have today, were at some point part-time employees
that had been rewarded for their potential and dedication.
That's why I encourage you and all employees to always try your best, everyone's effort is always noticed.

Hi, Frank and Angel
How are you doing? This is Cathy. Are you surprised that I wrote to you once again?
Actually I am very surprised you are brothers. Since you are brothers, I write to you together, hopefully it won』t make you angry. Thank you, Frank, for replying my e-mail so soon. Thank you, Angel, for adopting some of my suggestion. I think through our employees』 and employer』s common effort, our company will go up day after day. I have already seen this pleasing change step by step.
However, just like I told Angel before, I am a very honest person, if I saw something uncomfortable, I need to speak out, otherwise I feel very upset. Actually working here is not a simple labor, if people thought that way, he or she can do the work just slowly and clumsily. For sure, anybody can do the job; the key is how she can work fast. As you know, the assembly line』s efficient lies in two factors, one is the leader another is the speed of the belt. How can use this, the leader has to know how her employees work. She must know the employee』s advantages. As I mentioned to Angel before, a good leader should consider the employee』s feeling, using a smart way to solve problems, which makes employees happily to accept and meanwhile, it has the better efficient. Let』s think about, if I made a mistake, the supervisor didn』t blame, and said, 「 next time, please be careful or don』t do that.」 If I heard that, I must try my best to do the work well because I have a heart of full of thanks and guiltiness. Here supervisor just call you to do something, if you don』t do it well, she doesn』t check the reason, she just complain or change the person, if like that, how could we train new people to do the job? If this keeps going, we only have very few people can do hard work fast and good. Maybe because I was a teacher, I think every why must have the reason. So I always try my best to find why. I prefer to doing it slowly and thinking it at the same time, and then I will find good ways to do. That』s why how come I do many things faster and faster. I am a very open person, I like to help people, and I know how to teach people, maybe because I was a teacher before.
I remember one day, I taught one Chinese lady how to put the books in on the belt. Other people complain, 「 You think you can do it better, you do it.」 I said to them, 「 I try my best to help people, for sure I can do it, however, I am only one person, we need team work, only the efficient of everybody is up, then the efficient of products.」 The lady was very modest to listen to me, and she really worked very gladly and easily and at the same time she was very thankful looking at me. We smiled at each other…
Angel, The day before yesterday, you talked about us the issue of ladies』 washroom, at the end you ask fang to translate into Chinese, I wonder there is anybody who don』t understand English except some of Chinese, If so, why don』t you speak Spanish or ask someone to translate into Philips. If you know there is some people, and you didn』t do that. That means you think it is Chinese people who messed the toilet?
Sorry, if this makes you angry, I apologize. I didn』t mean do that, I just want to you know anybody say something or do something to think in other people』s stance. I know, even we say to respect each other, however, it is hard to do, if we try our best to do, then makes every person happy. I think it is a good thing, isn』t it?
Another thing, just like yesterday, the supervisor asked whether we come to work or not, later she was told many wouldn』t. Later on she said to me, 「 Listen, tomorrow everybody has to come to work, whoever not come, Monday no work.」 She asked me to explain to the Chinese, actually as one of them, after hearing this, I felt a little bit shocked. How could she talk in that way? If I were she, I should say like this, 「 my friends, tomorrow we have some orders need to rush, please try to come tomorrow, I know it is cold, hopefully every body supports our company, if you can』t come tomorrow, please let me know.」 I think if saying like this, who will refuse if they don』t have important thing to do? At the same time we feel very happy as well. Sorry, this is only my personal opinion. If you don』t think it is right, just forget about it.
Angel and Frank, winter is here. As you know, we all wear coats, I wonder where I should put my long coats, in the closet? It must wrinkle.. If you could please provide some hangers and one wardrobe, I think every employee will thank you.

Hi, Frank,
This is Cathy. I went to your office to ask for my record of employment, sorry for the liberty because I asked the receptionist. He told me to ask you. Later on you told me to check with Angel. I got it, but there is something wrong with it, they didn't include my last two days payment of this week, so Angel asked me to bring back Monday.
Sorry, I don't know Angel didn't tell you that I asked for ROE (record of employment). Since you are a very nice boss, I'd like you to know more information about me. I am from Beijing in 2001. (I was a teacher in there). The first 2 yrs I stayed at home taking care of my children- now they are 7 and 3. After my son was 1 yr, I sent both of my children to daycare. Then I started to work in Revelle home fashion. I had worked there for over 2 yrs. I was in charge of packing department. The boss-Freddy looked upon on me and he trained me how to do receiving and how to create UPC. I have learned a lot in that company. All my Canadian experience is from there. Later on I found it was not so challenging, then I quit and started my current job here, which is my second job.
Even though I only worked here for only 2 months, but I like it and I always try my best and I have made lots of friends here. As I mentioned to you before, I always try my best to do everything. I gave many suggestions to Angel such as, how to put CD straight, Censor straight, how to avoid double work-according to our orders, calculate how many boxes of cases we need to open in case we put too many inserts, later on we need to take them out, which waste lots of time. I also suggested Angel how to make the package more beautiful. Every other Friday I saw Angel spent lots of time on giving payment information to the employees. Then I suggested him to use the employees' number and now he is doing that. I led the employees to make our work environment more clean and tidy. I know how to work fast, good and easily. What's more, my English is not poor. I can express what I want to. Maybe you don't believe, how come I, as a common employee, can do so good? Guess why? Because whatever I do, I work fastest and in a smartest way.

Even though I asked for record of employment. However, I am very intelligent, I'd like to work more; as to this, you can check with Angel and Dieana, if I have chance, I 'd like to do more. I wonder " do you think I have an opportunity to become a full-time employee, after that, How much payment I will get? Could you tell me any information about that? "
Monday I will come back to our company, do you think it is necessary for me to talk with you? Or I just ask them to correct my Record, and then claim EI. Because I have worked for onsecutive over 2000 hours. BTW, now I am a chief of "English Garden" column in a Chinese website. If you are interested, you can read my threads.

On Monday just give to Angel your paper work and he will ask Edelvais to correct the mistake.
