不覺得美南浸信會有什麼不好。他改名是為了可以在全國建立教會，而不僅僅限於美南。南、北方經常讓人想起南北戰爭而已。

我們教會是浸信會，但不屬於美南浸信會，因為我們不在美南。

美南浸信會好像並不只在美男，連中國大陸都有，研版的解釋沒摘乾淨。

美南浸信會的確不僅僅在美南，在世界各地都有植堂，他們宣教、神學教育都很好。但我們不隸屬於美南教會。沒什麼摘不摘的。都屬於浸信會、都有相同的信仰和教會傳統。

看看後面跟貼,很有意思. 這為網友說應該更名為美國塔里班.

Oh, this is all about expanding their new franchises? You are losing in the South lately because of the general superficiality of your franchises. Moving or changing your name won't really solve your core issues! Your Sunday message has never changed, even though the "excluded, Lost or hidden books of the Bible hold some new revelation- that maybe your preachers don't want the congregations to be aware of. You think, like our politicians, that those books like Thomas and Mary might only confuse the poor simpleton members and create internal controversy. Guess what? It would if only the members would read these books!

Yes, these people adamantly believe they are the ONLY Christians on the planet. No other faith that professes belief in Jesus Christ is Christian. We live right in the hotbed of it all. I had to laugh at this OK State Fan, because they preach the same thing. It's all about the Bible Belt . . . AG and Protestants. They are all the same. Name changing won't change the problem. It's all about arrogance, something completely unfamiliar to Jesus Christ.

更名不更名，其實是換湯不換藥。

看來是因為他們的種族歧視讓人們痛恨: 這位有100多贊同.
他說牧師天天高唱神愛世人,不論是白人,黑人,大人小孩. 但是有黑人家庭來教會,我父親和其他教會工作者會馬上派人把黑人帶出教堂. 後來這位網友就離開了這個教會再也沒去過.

I was raised up Southern Baptist. One time we were singing "God loves the little children, red yellow, black and white". A black couple came in to attend our service. My dad and a couple of other decans escourted them out. Maybe it was because they weren't children. What ever the reason, that was enough for me. Haven't been back since. And that was 50 years ago.

Years ago...I remember mowing the lawn of an old man that lived across my street and we started talking about church. I was raised Assembly of God but had been to Baptist churches as well. When I asked him what church he attended, (thinking it had to be an AG or Baptist), he told me that he attended the "Christian Church"... My response was "Christian Church"? Never heard of them.... His response... "OH HELL...THEY GOT EM ALL OVER THE #$%$ COUNTRY"I loved that old man...Perfectly said!

Southern Baptists began as part of the Alabama Resolution of 1845. The resolution was whether the pastors could or couldn't own slaves. There are still very few African Americans in the church. Changing the name, its pretty much lipstick on a pig if you ask me.
