《Scarborough Fair / On the side of hill》詩經體譯文

shen fuen

山麓林深， On the side of hill in the deep forest green,
雪褐雀印。 Tracing of sparrow on snow crested brown.

巒子覆氈， Blankets and bed clothes the child of a mountain.
號鳴不醒。 Sleeps unaware of the clarion call.

 

山麓葉落， On the side of hill a sprinkling of leaves
冢留淚瑩。 Washes the grave with slivery tears.
壯士拭劍， A soldier cleans and polishes a gun.
號鳴不醒。 Sleeps unaware of the clarion call.

 

戰旗焰血， War bellows blazing in scarlet battalions.
搏殺有令。 Generals order their soldiers to kill and to fight.
旨已久忘， For a cause they have long ago forgotten.
號鳴不醒。 Sleeps unaware of the clarion call.
