土耳其地區  Turkey region

我沒去過土耳其，瞎說一些吧. 如果說Mesopotamia 是人類文明的起源, 是因為它是在歐亞非大陸的中心的話, 那土耳其就是歐亞大陸的連接處，同時它又東北連蘇俄. 在歷史上，只有東羅馬帝國的拜占庭有超過一千年的統治，可見其統治是相當的牢固. 在這麼一個歐亞文化相聚的地方，那麼多種族宗教，是非常不容易的. 從信奉基督教的拜占庭，其中還經歷了伊斯蘭的興起，到轉換成信伊斯蘭教的奧特曼帝國，還經歷了蒙古人的侵入，可見其文化宗教之根深遠，也可見當地的人們已經習慣於不同的種族文化宗教共存和睦相處. 可以想象從古代開始絲綢之路就經過那兒去向歐洲，十字軍東征也要通過那兒才能去耶路撒冷. 那邊的文化一定是非常燦爛豐富多彩的. 那邊也靠近黑海，我知道很多俄國人冬天去那兒度假. 除了蒙古人最會打仗，Turk 人也是很會打仗的. 你看他們的馬上戰袍，和使用的兵器就知道了. 奧特曼帝國的疆域廣大. 以前在AT&T工作的時候有一個人是從土耳其來的還是伊朗來的，告訴我說他去中國西北部，居然能夠大概聽得懂他們那邊說的話.

I have never been to Turkey, let me say something freely. If Mesopotamia is the origin of human civilization, because it is in the center of Europe, Asia and Africa, then Turkey is the junction of Eurasia, and it is connected to Russia in the northeast. On the other hand, only Byzantine of the Eastern Roman Empire ruled for more than a thousand years, and its rule was quite firm. In such a place where Eurasian culture meets, so many ethnic religions it was very difficult to rule. From the Christian Byzantine who also experienced the rise of Islam, to the transformation of the Islamic Ottoman Empire, and the invasion of the Mongols，it showed that the roots of its culture and religion are far-reaching. It  also showed that local people have become accustomed to coexistence ofdifferent ethnic cultures and religions.  It is conceivable that from the ancient times, the Silk Road would go there to Europe, and the Crusades would pass through there to go to Jerusalem. The culture there must be very splendid and colorful. It is also close to the Black Sea, I know many Russians go there for a holiday in winter. In addition to the Mongolians will fight the most, the Turk people were also very likely to fight. You can understand it more from their flighting robes and the weapons they use. The territory of the Ottoman Empire is vast. When I was working at AT&T,  someone from Turkey or Iran, told me that he went to Northwest China, evencan actually understand what they said.

世界上對他們那邊的文化不太宣揚，好萊塢也更注重於純西方的Greek mythology, Anglo-section 歷史和文化,所以他們那邊的文化比較神秘. 因為猶太人的緣故，穆斯林在美國算是小媳婦. 但實際上他們的文化非常的燦爛. 你看跳肚皮舞的音樂，節奏之複雜之動感，是現代的pop不能相比擬的，勝過印度的舞樂. 我在新疆烏魯木齊的大巴紮上，看見他們的普通女子都穿著非常華麗講究的衣服，其實要比上海南京路上的女孩子衣服有品位. 以前在交大總部，因為也算回族，所以我去清真食堂吃飯. 交大有新疆班，總是會碰見那些新疆同學. 記得有一個高高瘦瘦的男孩總是看我, 我還記得他眼睛里的那種銳氣, 和好奇, 黑頭髮白皮膚, 是中亞的男子. 歷史上也有蘇坦蘇萊曼的浪漫故事，象唐朝的李隆基和楊貴妃. 蘇坦王選了一個從俄國擄來的女奴隸為妻子, 不太漂亮. 因為她的智慧，助他的統治, 深受他寵愛. 文藝復興航海探險以後，陸上絲綢之路衰落，連帶近幾百年那個地區的衰落. 就像中華民族，他們也有過曾經的輝煌，曾經的大帝國. 自然而然他們也希望能恢復以前的燦爛和輝煌. 這種夢想是推進人類文明向前的動力呀. 如果能在文化宗教層面凝聚起來，讓文化燦爛， 那不是件壞事.

The world does not preach the culture on their side. Hollywood also pays more attention to the pure Western Greek mythology, Anglo-section history and culture, so the culture on their side is more mysterious. Because of the Jews, Muslims are like minorities in the United States. But in fact their culture is very splendid. Look at the belly dance music, the complex dynamic of the rhythm, which even modern popis incomparable, better than the dance music of India. When I was in the Grand Bazaar in Urumqi, Xinjiang. The ordinary women were wearing very elegant clothes. In fact, they were more tasteful than the girls』 dress on Nanjing Road in Shanghai. At the main campus of Jiaotong University, because I am also a Muslim, I went to the halal canteen to eat. I will meet those Xinjiang classmates. I remember that a tall and thin boy always looks at me. I still remember the kind of spirit in his eyes, and curiosity, black hair and white skin. It is a man from Central Asia. There is also in history Suleiman』s romantic story, like the story of Li Longji and Yang Guizhen of the Tang Dynasty. Sutan chose a female slave from Russia as a wife, not for her splendid beauty,  but for the wisdom shehas helped his ruling. She was deeply loved by him. After the revival of the Renaissance, the Silk Road on the land declined, and the related area declined in recent centuries. Like the Chinese nation, they also had the glory of the past. As Great Empires, naturally, they also hope to restore the splendor and glory of the past. This kind of dream is the driving force for advancing human civilization. If it can be condensed on the cultural and religious level, let the culture splendid again, it is not a bad thing.
