David, Music is like spiritual food, your particular food feeds a certain kind of majority people, they are hungry for your food. Why change ? Classical music, is an effective way to paint different colors on your emotional feeling canvas, like a soothing massage to your emotional stress, helps kids to develop their brain internal connections, prepares brain to be ready for complicated intelligent work. Most of the times classical music is not easy listening. If takes background knowledge.

When Jackie was little, we took her to Chinese buffet. Jackie only took pizza, French fries, fried rice, or fried noodle, then ice cream. Nothing else. We all laughed at her, as there are so many delicious seafood, cold dish, beef, grilled, special material. No, she never touched. When she saw liver or something, she said yak. She is American, that is all she eat at school. She does not know there are other foods. Whoever we traveled, the first thing is finding a McDonald. American pop is good. I like it, I like good ones. It is not too long like some boring classical, nor opera, and lyrics, melody, rhythm, and orchestration sometimes extremely good. But it is not something I listen, when I am alone, winter night, look at sky, a cup of little liquor at hand. It is not something I listen , when all the things come to me, I just want to escape from this world, forget about the whole world. It is not something I listen, when I put little Jackie into sleep, and I am by myself, no one to talk to. I listen to classical, it is like a little candle with warm light, a flow river with silky sparkling, an angle voice talking to me privately, a peaceful world no craziness.  Do you understand?

Most Kids grow up here, like Jackie, may need more spiritual foods. It is more than just music. Maybe you can introduce different music styles from different part of the world as varieties. Maybe you can add fine classical emotional elements to your music, maybe you can modify the lyrics more high class, (personally I feel Justin Beaver is at the his end, he only showed his body, tattoos. No culture, nothing positive influence, nothing spiritual that lasts long. )  In Southern Europe, there are architecture with Arabic styles, because Arabian occupied that region for 500 years. India's architecture had Roman influence. Culture is alive. It always refreshes adding new elements. You can vary your music vertically, adding more spiritual styles; Or, horizontally, adding different cultural styles.
