保守黨黨魁8月23日才新出爐，就引發熱列討論了：

Make Canada a leader in promoting freedom and human rights around the world, standing with those, such as the people of Hong Kong, Taiwan, Syria and Iran, fighting for their freedom and championing the cause of oppressed peoples including Tibetans, Uighurs and Kurds.
Stand up to Russian aggression and support Ukraine. An O』Toole government will not rest until a united Ukraine can take its place as an economic, political and security partner, integrated with the wider Western world.
Take Canada』s place as an Indo-Pacific nation seriously by reversing Trudeau』s appeasement of Communist China and degrading democratic India.
Recognize the threat posed by the Chinese Communist regime and develop a plan, including:
- Working in cooperation with countries like Australia, South Korea, and Japan,
- Elevating our relationship with India,
- Partnering with like-minded countries across the Indo-Pacific region, enhancing security, trade and other ties,
- Cracking down on the efforts of the Chinese Communist Party to infiltrate Canadian institutions and intimidate Chinese-Canadians,
- Banning Huawei from participating in 5G,
- Limiting the role of Chinese state-owned enterprises in Canada』s economy.
- Placing caveats on the One China policy based on how Beijing responds to concerns about the One Country, Two Systems Agreement in Hong Kong, respect for Taiwanese participation in Multi-lateral UN agencies, respect and reconciliation with His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan people, and treatment of persecuted religious communities of Uighurs, and
- Suspending the Canada-China Legislative Association. The Parliament of Canada will not legitimize the undemocratic nature of the Chinese National Party Congress.
- If Michael Spavor and Michael Kovrig remain in detention when the Conservative government is formed, a 30-day period will be given for their release before the imposition of Magnitsky sanctions on the President, Premier of the State Council , the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National Party Congress and the President of the Supreme People』s Court. We will also urge use of Magnitsky sanctions by our allies as well.
Build a powerful Canada-India relationship by:
- Getting the free trade talks – started by Harper and derailed by Trudeau – back on track while establishing cross-sectoral trading partnerships,
- Proposing a long-term strategic nuclear energy partnership,
- Leveraging the innovation of Canadian farmers to establish an agriculture partnership that can help establish a strong food supply chain for Indians, and
- Launching bold initiatives across technology, medicine, energy and infrastructure to strengthen security and scale innovation, generating jobs, investment and strategic partnerships.
Support Israel as a democratic, Jewish state with secure borders whose capital is Jerusalem, while maintaining support for a two-state solution that affirms the legitimate aspirations of the Palestinian people not those of Hamas and Iranian-backed militias, and move the Canadian Embassy to Jerusalem.
Hold the Iranian regime accountable to its human rights obligations by levying Magnitsky sanctions, confront its policy of state-sponsored terror by listing the IRGC as a terrorist entity, work with allies to counter its instability abroad, and create international partnerships to end its nuclear weapons program. We must show leadership to ensure that the Iranian regime does not succeed with its deception of the West.
Focus on reforming the United Nations – something that O』Toole has advocated for years – instead of placating dictators in a campaign for a Security Council seat by:
- Advocating for UN reform with like-minded nations and holding back funding for UN agencies with poor performance on human rights or corruption measures. Instead, we will allocate funding to pro-pluralism education and development initiatives through organizations with proven track records of effectiveness.
- Hold back funding for UNRWA unless it is significantly reformed. It cannot under any circumstances provide support to terror organizations or their affiliates. It also cannot create dependencies which serve as a deterrent to lasting peace and deter resettlement efforts in other parts of the World. Canada will not continue funding if these reforms are not underway by the midway point of our first term.
Show leadership throughout the Americas by standing up for the people of Venezuela and promoting freedom and free trade across the hemisphere.
Strengthen our relationship with post-Brexit UK and other traditional Commonwealth countries. Renew our commitment to Five Eyes allies and re-engage with Australia and New Zealand including by proposing a CANZUK partnership.
Restore funding for the Office of Religious Freedom and appoint a new Ambassador within 100 days, so it can resume its essential work internationally.
Canada is a founding member of the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF) and an O』Toole government will enhance this relationship to:
- Foster greater economic cooperation among democratic member countries of the OIF to help this multi-lateral organization contribute to the realignment of global trade patterns that will likely result following the COVIID-19 crisis; and
- Educate Canadians and our SMEs about the advantage of trade with OIF countries and the strength of these global partnerships.
