Red Army Fish

When Red Army on Long March through the Grasslands, a female Red Army soldier gave birth to a baby. She had no food and couldn't express milk to feed her baby. The baby cried with hunger, and the mother wept anxiously.

Zhu De found a puddle and tried to catch some fish to help the soldier milk, but the Grasslands was too cold and the puddle had no fish.

Meanwhile, Chairman Mao, who was sitting nearby reading a book, saw an eagle flying over with a fish in its beak. He flicked his cigarette butt at the eagle.

The eagle mistook the butt for food and opened its beak. The fish fell from its beak.

The two Red Army leaders happily presented the fish to the young mother.

The fish's stomach burst as it fell, and its eggs scattered into the water Grasslands.

Later, the eggs grew into fish, and fish began to inhabit the Grasslands.

Hongkong Macao Taiwan

In 1958, Chairman Mao, while meeting with a reporter from Nanyang Business Daily, discussed our Party's basic policy for peacefully resolving Taiwan Issue.

Premier Zhou Enlai summarized Chairman Mao's remarks as One Guideline, Four Principles.

One Guideline refers to one country, and Four Principles refers to two systems.

Chairman Mao's concept of Peaceful Reunification, One Country, Two Systems has been our Party's basic policy for resolving Taiwan Issue since the 1950s, as well as for resolving Hongkong and Macao Issues.

In 1974, when meeting with the former British Prime Minister, Chairman Mao pointed to the young Deng Xiaoping and said: "Hongkong's Return is your responsibility as young people."

Hongkong's Return in 1997, and Macao's Return in 1999, both implemented One Country, Two Systems.（顏賓）

Red Army Wheat

During Long March, one day, when Red Army was climbing the Snow Mountains, Chairman Mao said to a female Red Army soldier, Liu Ying: "My dear fellow, I'm very hungry."

Liu Ying replied: "I have some wheat in my pocket. I'll fry it for you."

The firewood was wet, and even after frying for a long time, the wheat was still half-fried.

Just as Chairman Mao was about to eat, he saw a wounded soldier being carried over, and he offered the wheat to him.

The dying soldier couldn't hold it steady, and the wheat fell onto the snow.

The half-fried wheat stubbornly took root and sprouted, growing on the Snow Mountains.

Because the seeds had been fried, the wheat that grew was fragrant, and people called this fragrant wheat Red Army Wheat.
