道德經 第五十六章 知者不言

知者不言，言者不知。

塞其兌，閉其門，

挫其銳，解其紛，

和其光，同其塵，

是謂玄同。

故不可得而親，

不可得而疏,

不可得而利，不可得而害,

不可得而貴，不可得而賤,

故為天下貴。

【現代簡義】

知道道理的人不一定會說。

不停說的人不一定知道道理。

阻斷各方私自溝通的渠道，封閉各方勾聯的門路，

挫滅各方的銳氣，化解各方的紛爭，

調和各方的榮辱，同化各方的塵世風俗，

這就是深度的同化。

所以不能因為得到了就比較親近一方，

也不能因為得到了就比較疏遠另一方，

不能因為得到了就加以利用，

也不能因為得到了就加以殘害，

不能因為得到了就加以抬升，

也不能因為得到了就加以貶低，

這就能得到天下人的敬重。

The person who knows the things may not speak out.

The person who speaks out may not really know the things.

Block their tunnels of secret communication.

Seal their gates of run way.

Blunt their sharp-edges.

Resolve their conflicts.

Reconcile their glory and shame.

Assimilate their tradition.

This is called the deep assimilation.

Therefore, he will not be close to someone because he just has got something.

He will not be distant to someone because he just has got something.

He will not get benefit because he just has got something.

He will not jeopardize someone because he just has got something.

He will not prize something because he just has got something.

He will not low something because he just has got something. 

As thus, he is noble respected by people under the heaven.
