Dear The Voters Of The 49th Assembly District，

I wanted to thank the voters of the 49th Assembly District for their support and encouragement in my Assembly campaign. I am also grateful for the hundreds of volunteers and donors who gave their time and resources to the effort. While it was not the outcome we had hoped for, I am very pleased with the results. I wish Mike Fong the best of luck and congratulate him on his victory.

We were always the underdog. We spent less than $100,000 knowing our opponent had nearly two million dollars in his campaign account. But with social media and a strong grassroots effort, focused on the issues, we were able to secure a higher vote percentage than any republican candidate in the last decade. At just over 40% we out polled President Trump, Steve Garvey, and April Verlato who challenged Judy Chu for Congress in the same neighborhoods.

 I performed in a historical victory as the most voted and supported Republican candidate in La County. I received more support than President Trump, Steve Garvey and April Verlato. To reach that total, we have earned the vote and support of many independents and democrats. 

Clearly the voters of the 49th district want better representation, and they want a leader who will stand up to special interests and say NO! when it matters. I plan to continue to be a voice for common sense and an active volunteer to improve our community. I will never stop fighting for you, and your family and your rights.

I am inspired by our future and the change in administration we are going to see in Washington D.C. in January and hope that we can get California back on track when we have our next election. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who supported our campaign.
