前幾天剛剛關注到一些英語名詞當動詞用的有趣現象,這幾天在閱讀中又頻頻撞見,是可喜的巧合,還是可悲的孤陋寡聞?管它是喜是悲,兔子自己撞到樹榦上來,就權當是自己的戰利品了:
1. Soldier(士兵):
In the hope of appearing like a conscientious chef prepared for all things culinary, I soldiered on.
(我希望擺出一副成竹在胸準備在烹飪上露一手的大廚的樣子,就硬挺著堅持下去。)
Eyeball(眼球):
「It's like two bullies with money,」Simone said, eyeballing Shelly.

3. Spoon(湯勺):

(她從背後緊抱住坐在前面的馴象師。)
