男女同廁是個偽命題

川粉攻擊民主黨一個要點就是男女同廁問題：這起源於奧巴馬的要求給予其Transgendle人以自己的性別認同上廁所的權力的行政命令。這被很多中國人誤解為，奧巴馬政府允許男女混用廁所，這便是所謂「男女同廁」的問題。這是誤解，聯邦政府要求州政府採取措施保證Transgendle人能按自己的性別認同上廁所，至於如何保障沒有規定，而實施細則由各州議會制定。實際上提供額外的 gender-neutral bathrooms （不分性別的廁所）是最簡單可行的辦法。這既能達到目標，又不會影響普通人／學生的上廁所的權力。現在一些州在起草法律幾乎都走這條路，它們對如何使用廁所有明確的界定，以內華達州AB375修正案為例，下面是第三條摘錄： 3. For any pupil who asserts at school a gender that is different than the pupil』s biological sex, a public school shall provide the best available accommodation that meets the needs of the pupil, but such accommodation must not include access to a school restroom, locker room or shower designated for use by persons whose biological sex is different from the pupil』s biological sex. Such accommodation may include, without limitation, access to a single-stall restroom, access to a unisex restroom or controlled use of a faculty restroom, locker room or shower. 也就是說，生理上男女不能交叉使用廁所（男女不能同廁）。即便這樣的法律，在很多州都沒有通得過。這倒不是男女同廁問題，而是宗教認同和錢的問題（需要一大筆改造費）。我本人覺得，只要對普通人沒有影響，加個gender-neutral bathrooms沒有原則問題。至於這個錢花得值不值得，沒有仔細研究，可以商榷，但川粉試圖用這個問題把民主黨妖魔化是沒有道理的，因為「男女同廁」本身就是個偽命題。
