Candles are flickering among the silverware

Merrily joining the light from the chandelier

  Dancing to the leaping flames of the fireplace

  Chasing the shadows away from the surfaces

Sitting at the table surrounded by flowers 

You unfurl the napkin on my lap for hours

Your fingers linger longer than necessary

On this candlelight evening illusionary

Caressing my heart with familiar sweetness

You pull me close to you and taste my lips

 Delicious tangles dance swiftly up my spine

Memories of the newlyweds flood my mind

We soar into passion the way we had the first night
