Academic cheating is the norm in China. I don't know if that is a common practice among Chinese dissidents but it "appears" this individual is trying to take advantage of his situation at NYU. If that is not the case then NYU needs to seriously re-evaluate the type of education they are providing.

I've had some experience with this in the academic community. Chen is actually right on this. NYU is too smart to have any direct evidence, but working on starting Chinese campus would definitely put a ton of pressure to do what the Chinese want.
