Lets remember this : "Japan was responsible for drawing the U.S. into World War II after it launched a surprise attack on the U.S naval base Pearl Harbor in 1941." & "The conflict escalated massively when the U.S dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945"-this is false as the conflict ended almost immediately when that happened...it did not escalate 'massively'...

The Japanese are just playing one up-manship on China who are presently building two 50/60,000 ton Type 089 aircraft carriers based on ex soviet models. The ships are due to be finished by 2015 in Changxingdao Shipyard, Shanghai. Sukhoi Su-33s (navalized Flankers) are the aircraft most likely to be flown from these carriers, but China is also developing its own multirole fighter, the Shenyang J-15. Over the past 30 years China has bought four retired aircraft carriers for study. HMAS Melbourne and ex-Soviet carriers Minsk, Kiev and Varyag.

China and Japan have been in a state of cold war for decades. Now China is building 4 aircraft carriers, so Japan has every right to defend itself.
