26年後的上周六，Reuters 路透社記者再次拍攝了成功封頂了125層高的上海金融中心大廈在內的著名的大上海浦東天際線的摩天大樓區。驚人的2,073英尺之巨高大的上海金融中心大廈高高居中，優雅豪放，猶如未來世界外觀的科幻式的浦東新區。數十幢摩天大樓比過去的任何時代都更現代，和充滿勃勃雄心。
上海金融中心大廈設計師的金斯勒說：大廈代表了世界有朝一日以上海為中心之一的一種新定義。承擔上海金融中心大廈最快電梯設計的三菱電機則表示，雙高駕駛的快速電梯無疑將為上海的「天空塔」増輝，為上海經濟特區添瓦。
