三天前的周一，觀看了澳洲 ABC 和香港 ATV 關於北京劉曉波的妻子、劉霞的弟弟上周日被判刑的新聞報導。兩台均為英語新聞，我做了圖片、文字記錄如下。
This was the court on the outskirts of Beijing where Liu Xiaobo's brother-in-law was sentenced to 11 years behind bars of today. Liu Hui is being sent to prison on charges of defranding a man of three billion yuan.
Delegates from 10 foreign embassies, including the US, and Norway, were in court today as well.
Liu Hui's family & supporters claim that the manage of a real estate company does'nt deserve they're instead accusing Beijing of trying to take international attention away from Liu Xiaobo's wife. Liu Xia was in court for the sentencing today & she's told reporters afterwards that she was angry about it.
" I absolutely cannot accept that ", she said.
" This is persecution." Liu Xia has been under house arrest ever since her husbant won the Nobel Peace Prize 2 years ago. She says the dissident's fight against Beijing for better respect of human rights has taken its toll on her family. " My family and I have already endured so much hardship." She said.
" You cannot imagine. This is a country which says open and has rule of law.I have comletery lost hope. I dont have shred of confidence or hope in this govenment."
" It does not constitute crininal fraud at all ", Liu Hui's lawyer said.
" The EU is concerned that Liu Hui's prosecution & conviction may have been linked the situation of his sister Liu Xia, Liu Xiaobo's wife. The EU reiterates its call to the Chinese authorities." The EU Delegate said in Beijing today.
