                                  Parting sadness tangled in the weeping willow trees

                                  Alone by the window my mind drifts to Yang Zhou City

                                  'Til awakened by some harmonious euphony

                                  From blooming flowers carried over by cool spring breeze

                                  Your lonely sail fading into the end of boundless seas

                                  Flowing into my heart is the enchanting melody

                                  When are we to re-unite in this riverside city

                                  Drunk on the lake lingered with autumn misty rains
