前幾天開始生病了。我躺在床上，渾身酸痛。一量體溫40度。我一天吞了最大限量的止痛片。在這裡住了十多年，我第一次有了懷念當年在國內吊鹽水的情景。我突然感到原來享受吊鹽水的待遇也算是一種幸福。
人說小病是福。自己有幸一直是體質虛弱之人，總會時不時地感冒幾次。以前在國內時，我一感冒就往校醫務室跑，然後抓了一大堆抗生素回來吃。要是偶爾發燒，那就得驗血，然後吊鹽水。
剛來這裡時，有兩年沒感冒，心裡真是高興。想想也許是這兒人不多環境好一點的緣故。可是過了兩年以後，一切又都回來了。我還是會反覆感冒而且還會發燒。去看家庭醫生，人家讓你自己去藥店或雜貨店去買一種叫paracetamol的葯吃，說過一個星期還不好，再來。這葯就是止痛片。
以後去看病多了，知道這兒的家庭醫生開的最多的藥方的就是這萬能止痛片。
如今在這缺少陽光的歐洲的漫漫寒冬時節，我依然躲不過感冒發燒。只是這麼多年來，很少去看家庭醫生了。因為一般難受一個多星期的話，也就過去了。
這次也是一樣，就在我感嘆吊鹽水的待遇時，在我發燒40度以後的12個小時后，我的燒退了。看來還得感謝這萬能止痛片。

Paracetamol, similar to tylenol in US (called "paracetamol" outside North America), or acetaminophen (USAN) is a widely used over-the-counter analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer). It is commonly used for the relief of fever, headaches, and other minor aches and pains, and is a major ingredient in numerous cold and flu remedies. In combination with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) or opioid analgesics, paracetamol is used also in the management of more severe pain (such as cancer pain).
While generally safe for human use at recommended doses, acute overdoses of paracetamol can cause potentially fatal liver damage and, in rare individuals, a normal dose can do the same; the risk is heightened by alcoholism. Paracetamol toxicity is the foremost cause of acute liver failure in the Western world, and accounts for most drug overdoses in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand. In 2008 a study conducted in 31 countries on over 200,000 children indicates that infants who are given paracetamol may be at an increased risk of developing asthma as children.

- 感冒是病毒引起，除非有併發的細菌感染，否則吃抗生素一點用沒有，還能造成體內菌群失調，抗藥細菌生成等。所以，如果就是單純感冒，不要吃抗生素。
另外，別懷念吊鹽水。如果你沒有脫水，沒有不能進食飲水，吊鹽水只是浪費錢，扎針痛，增加感染和輸液反應的機會。吊鹽水引起的欣快感可能是唯一的好處吧。

怎麼說呢？國內很多時候是不該治的時候亂治，病人覺得是得到治療了，但實際上是在做無用功。 娃娃，請記住，任何藥物都有副作用。

- remote: 感冒是病毒引起，除非有併發的細菌感染，否則吃抗生素一點用沒有，還能造成體內菌群失調，抗藥細菌生成等。所以，如果就是單純感冒，不要吃抗生素。 另外true, but most of time 病毒 and 細菌 are coinfected 感染, sometimes is difficult to differential at the beginning

我按照美國醫生的要求吃了6天的抗生素...不發燒了....但是還是咳嗽,痰黃,吃herb也沒能停止...網友們提供的土方法也試了,可是也不行...我晚上就用醫生給的codeine不咳嗽了,睡覺....現在還是一點胃口都沒有...就剩生吃西紅柿了,哈哈哈...謝謝指導!!

• Diarrhea
• Mild to severe pain
• Irritable bowel syndrome
Common adverse reactions include euphoria, itching, nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, dry mouth, miosis, orthostatic hypotension, urinary retention, depression and constipation.
