我妹妹從天津發來的回應

二姐：
　　今天是大年初一，現在我在奶奶家，他們在打麻將，我剛看了你的文章，寫得挺好的。那是一段難忘的人生經歷，並且雜糅著喜與憂、血與淚，值得好好回味，你一定經常會想起來，經常觸景生情，一些片斷、一些人經常出現在腦海，如果把他們訴諸筆端，對這段經歷是個總結，也算是對自己有個交代。
　　　期待著你的下一篇，你可以把前前後後的事實都寫寫，為什麼想去參軍？第一次去的時候懷著什麼樣的心情，第一天的全部見聞，還有那些摩擦，挫折，你如何克服自己的膽怯，逐漸變的勇敢起來的，這對你一生來說，也許是個轉折點，還有你如何和別人相處的，寫幾個具體的人，不同種族的人生活在一起，文化不同，教育不同，大家對許多問題的看法都不一樣，好好總結一下，你一定會得出一些結論來。如果你當時記日記就好寫多了。
　　　昨天晚上的晚會看了嗎？

我也有同感。我的照片就是我去年回天津過年，她替我拍的。在那裡的花鳥魚蟲市場。

One more thing, if you go to my pictures, there is this one taken this time last year, I was in Tianjin then. Behind me was the famous landmark, Lao Xi Kai Jiao Tang.

You're absolutely right. She is a very calm and sane person. As a matter of fact, several of her articles are posted on 天津日報。 I am so proud of her. BTW to you as well! So you went back to TJ, that is wonderful! I love Tianjin. I was raised there and lived there for 22 years before heading to Columbia, Missouri on Christmas day 0f 1990. My younger sister, HM, married his college sweet heart and moved to Tanggu.
