Eagles樂隊最早於1976年演唱「Hotel California」，由Don Henley領唱。此曲目讓Eagles獲得了空前成功，並被多家機構評為歷史上最受歡迎的100首歌曲之一。

歌曲簡單描述了疲倦的「我」在駕駛后，投宿Hotel California的經歷和當時心情的描寫。這首歌被看成是1970年代後期，南利福尼亞音樂界關於享樂主義和自我毀滅描述的代表作。歌詞中提到賓士（Mercedes-Benz）和Tiffiny代表了物質的享樂。而Benz更是用諧音（bends）與"Twisted"一起隱喻了扭曲的物質享樂。

網上有很多Eagles唱的版本。其中有的是音樂會實況。但是那些演唱似乎都不如最初的成功。也許是因為Eagles老了的原因吧。我轉貼的這個版本，雖然沒有活動畫面，但演唱應該是最原始的版本，或者說至少應該是比較早的版本。好聽！
