以上看來老中認真，虛心的人不多。聽聽週遭成年後來美一，二十年以上的，英語還行的極少，移民容易，歸化難。

well, a lot of idioms are not so translatable due to the culture differences.

Most of them have double meanings, depended on the context. BTW, don't say: "Jesus Christ", "Oh, My God", "Holy Mother of God", etc. These works are reserved for big shots (e.g. your professors and bosses), not for you small potatoes. Using them occasionally may be okay. But some Chinese glue these phrases on their mouths. It's very annoy for most Americans.

很少聽到老美說 dry goods, 好心挑一些比較 popular 的字。

英語的dragon是個鳥，中國的龍是個爬行類鱷魚，dragon有翅膀噴火住山洞，中國龍有四條腿無翅膀噴水住深水或海里。dragon應該翻譯中文為拽艮，中國龍翻譯成英語應該是Long。

或許有些詞都是幾十年前用的，或許有些詞只是在少數地方為少數人用，所以我問了個當地人，他也不完全認同這裡的釋義
