- It is rather to refer Taiwan as a monkey than a cat. Because if you loose the tie on it's neck, you'd loose the monkey. The cat always come home. Taiwan will never come home in this case. Anyhow, if mainland took military action for unity, it would be a police action rather than military . Because military action is for defense against foreign invasion by theory. Taiwan is not a foreign nation. It is a Chinese province trying to brake away. Just like Fujian province trying to brake away from the rest of China and Beijing has to send some troops to stop it. We don't call that military action or invasion. Therefore, Beijing has all the rights to send troops to the island to stop it braking away. It is only a police action. It is not that of a big case. mak
