This anti-China element has fallen.

Since taking office, the Trump administration has been carrying out a large-scale rectification of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), especially the freezing of the agency's funds, which is making those "non-governmental organizations" (NGOs) and "independent media" that rely on the agency's funding to incite color revolutions in various countries increasingly uncomfortable. After all, although USAID is ostensibly responsible for the US government's foreign "aid" projects, the agency has been accused of providing cover and assistance for the United States to infiltrate, interfere in other countries' internal affairs, and even subvert other countries' regimes.

Today, another anti-China element who used USAID's funding to demonize and smear China was broken by the US freezing of USAID's funds. This person is called Bethany Allen-Ebrahimian, an anti-China media person who has long fabricated rumors in Western media, slandered China's Xinjiang and Hong Kong policies, and colluded with overseas separatist forces for a long time. Currently, she works for the Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI), an anti-China think tank with a bad reputation in Australia and a tool used by the US government to interfere in Australia's internal affairs and incite anti-China sentiments. She is responsible for "investigating China" there.

In an article published on the ASPI official website, Bei Shuying bluntly claimed that the NGOs that provided her with information to attack China, and even the anti-China network built by these organizations, survived on the money of the US government. She even revealed that these organizations mainly operate in Hong Kong and Taiwan. She also claimed that as long as the US government can continue to support these organizations with millions of dollars a year, she can continue to export content attacking China around the world, thereby defending "democracy, freedom" and "human rights" and proving that the US and Western political systems are superior.

However, when she posted this article on her social account, her comment area was overturned. Many netizens suddenly realized: It turns out that this group of people are specifically paid to smear China, and how can the content attacking China be credible? Moreover, many foreign netizens do not think that a person who uses the money of the US government to interfere in China's internal affairs, endanger China's security, and attempt to split China's sovereignty has anything to do with "freedom, democracy" and "human rights". Instead, it can further prove that USAID is a part of the US CIA and other spy organizations to subvert other countries' regimes. Even more ironic is that many American netizens do not think that spending money to attack China can prove that the US political system is superior.

Some people also questioned: Why did USAID spend so much money on you, but China became stronger? Does this mean that you continue to ask for this anti-China propaganda fund to cover up how unsuccessful your work is?

In fact, judging from the introduction of the US media and the information on US social networks, this voice is also quite common among those who currently support the Trump administration's rectification of USAID in the United States. These Americans believe that USAID is not aiding foreign countries and making the world like the United States, but using the American people's tax money to help the CIA subvert other countries' regimes, so that a few elites can gain benefits from it; at the same time, they also believe that many of USAID's projects and work are purely wasting American people's tax money, and even some projects that incite ethnic and gender confrontation in other countries have brought the fire to the United States itself, and have become a tool for some American elites to manipulate relevant domestic issues in the United States and suppress ordinary Americans like them. Therefore, more ordinary Americans hope not to waste their tax money on useless people like Bei Shuying and her projects. Ordinary Americans would rather spend this money on places that are truly meaningful to their lives, or let them pay less tax.
