New year,s story
Diwali is an important holiday for Hindus. It is also called the Festival of Lights. Diwali happens in later October or early November every year.
Chinese new year is an important holiday for Chinese. It is also called the
Lunar year. The Chinese new year happens in later January or early February every year.
People like to have new clothes for Diwali.Chinese people too. People are lighting sparklers and placing them around their home.
They want their family to have a successful future.
People hope that sparklers attract Lakshmi.the Hindu goddess of wealth and success.
Hindus believe that Lakshmi visits people's homes during Diwali. In the Hindu religion , a visit from Lakshmi is a very good thing. It means a happy future for the family
In Chinese culture, People are using firecrackers to make sounds everywhere, the Chinese believe that firecrackers can scare Year , the bad god.
People also are using the red couplet on the door, they want their family to have a blessing future.
But we all know the blessing only from only true God ,Jesus .
