美國Energy Conversion宣布裁員400人

美國太陽能廠Energy Conversion Devices上周四宣布，為因應重整計劃，將裁員400 人或約 20%人力。

　　該公司專門生產用於屋頂和建築上，質量較輕、附有彈性的太陽能薄板，，但由於今年缺乏對於太陽能項目的資金，該公司一直苦力支撐。

　　該公司在聲明稿中表示，此回裁員人數已內含今年稍早收購同業 Solar Integrated Technologies (太陽能集成科技公司) 之後所宣布的裁員人數。

　　該公司預計相關費用約 900 萬美元，其中也包括收購交易后宣布的裁員費用，每年可以省下 1700 萬美元，而半數將於 2010 年發生。

　　11 月份時，該公司公布 2010 財年第 1 季營收下滑，並表示由於建築和重修屋頂的工程活動仍處於低檔，第 2 季 (12月止)時產能將降低至 50%。

I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU ABOUT THIS. MOST OF THE MONEY IS FROM THE GOVERNMENT, EVEN OBAMA GOVERNMENT ALREADY APPROVED LOTS OF MONEY TO DEVELOP RENEWABLE ENERGY.

AND THE PRESS SAID THE UNEMPLOYMENT RATE REDUCE TO 10% AND SOME ECONOMISTS PREDICTED IT WOULD BE GOOD NEXT YEAR.

THERE ARE ONLY 3 WEEKS LEFT AND WE WILL WELCOME THE NEW YEAR-2010. WISH YOU HAPPY NEW YEAR.
