今天我讓國航補償被拒，於是在交通部網站上寫了投訴

我在網上搜到的交通部投訴網站是：

以下是我寫的投訴信原文。我感到又臭又長，我多年未寫作，寫作水平大降。只是勉強說明了原委而已。

I bought round trip tickets from New York to Chengdu, China on 10/21/2019 on the Air China official website.

The out-going trip departed on 11/10/2019. The return flight back to New York JFK was scheduled on 5/10/2020.

Due to the pandemic, Air China cancelled all flights from China to New York. So I waited in China in case if its flight to New York might resume.

The return ticket was said to expire on 11/9/2020 after a year's purchase, and still no flight to New York. So I had to take Air China's only fight back to United States to Los Angeles. I took CA987 from Beijing to Los Angeles on 11/8/2020, including its first part CA4113 from CTU to PEK.

I had contacted Air China customer service several times that they should not assume I must have money to buy tickets to return to New York from Los Angeles. But Air China refused to pay nor provide any assistance to help me to return to New York from Los Angeles.

I did managed to return to New York from Los Angeles. I spent four days in LAX airport without room and food. I originally had two free checked baggages，and I threw 40 pounds of my belongings to reduce two baggages into one baggage. On

11/12/2020, I returned to Newark on a Spirit flight.

I contacted Air China customer service at 1-800-882-8122 on 12/22/2020. Air China refuses to compensate any cost related to my trip from Los Angeles to New York.

Air China will not completely fufill its responsibility by transporting me back to New York City in my return trip. And I suffered not only money loss but also considerable hardship by completing my trip from Los Angeles to New York on my own.

My travel costs from Los Angeles to New York is about 250 dollars at least.

I request Air China to pay 250 dollars to me to cover my costs from Los Angeles to New York.

I appreciate The DOT's help that I may not have to bear this cost alone.  

The pandemic inconveniences everybody，but why assume I have enough resources to get back to New York from Los Angeles, given so much loss and hardship I had suffered during the trip.
