以色列遊說團（Israel Lobby) 到底有多大能量？

第39任美國總統吉米.卡特在1977年走馬上任的當天，對政院發言人－HOUSE SPEAKER，Tip O'Neill，作了禮節性拜訪。這是他們一段對話。

卡特問，「I've heard a lot of talk about the strength of the Israel Lobby, tell me,is it as powerful as they say?" 譯成中文，『我聽了很多關於以色列遊說團的話，告訴我，他們真有這默大能量嗎？『

Tip O『Neill 在他的回憶錄里有以下文子。
「I replied that it was certainly a strong group, in part because there are so many more Jews than Arabs." 他們確是一強大團體，部份源於他們在人數上遠超出阿拉伯人。

Tip O『Neill 還寫到，
...that the Jewish people are so active in public life。他們在公眾中很活躍。
...Jews are also generous givers to political campaigns on both sides of the aisle。猶太人大把撒銀子給兩黨競選人。
