- 樓主問女子學院的優缺點，別的方面不清楚，但有一對優缺點是明顯的：
優點：女孩上女子學院不會受到來自男生的性騷擾。而這一問題挺嚴重，以至於BIDEN副總統威脅要把犯事者都「敲了」，加州甚至通過了特別的法律，要求有written consent, 否則女生告男生，男生拿不出written consent, 一律按性騷擾或強姦論處。
缺點：女校dating和找對象困難，蹉跎四年風華正茂貌美如花的好歲月。

- 孩子有志向要進MBA/JD Program說明她相當成熟，有主見，恭喜您了。我女兒告訴我她不會去女子學院是因為裡面沒有男生，這種不平衡對人格發展不利，我們認為她是對的。作為家長我們認為太小的學校資源有限，同時如果孩子改變想法，要換專業也會選擇比較少。大學生改變專業的情況是非常多的。

- 這是值得考慮的一點，但Wellesley的學生可以在哈佛/MIT選課。實際上學校還為學生們考慮得非常周全：哈佛及MIT的周末晚會及舞會基本都與Wellesley共同sponsor，哈佛及MIT與Welleyley之間每天有shuttle bus定時不斷往來, 學生們之間的社交非常容易和頻繁。

另一點也贊同：哈佛與Welleyley之間的學費大同小異，在同樣條件下從哈佛得到獎學金的可能和數量要比從Welleyley得到的高得多。也就是說，不少在Wellesley得不到獎學金的中產家庭學生很有可能在哈佛得到；在Wellesley拿得到獎學金的肯定在哈佛能拿得到多很多，只因哈佛的資金充裕。

- 獎學金的考慮是很有道理的，可是哈佛的競爭更激烈，男女生都拼！

還有，到底做大漁塘里的小魚，還是小魚塘里的大魚也是種選擇。

- 您說得對，有些小型的大學，教授們對學生的關注多些。就好像名校MBA的學生，學校的職業輔導團隊幫助每位學生找工作一樣，非常個人量身服務。

- Smith College is a private institution that was founded in 1871. It has a total undergraduate enrollment of 2,606, its setting is suburban, and the campus size is 147 acres. It utilizes a semester-based academic calendar. Smith College's ranking in the 2015 edition of Best Colleges is National Liberal Arts Colleges, 19. Its tuition and fees are $44,724 (2014-15).
Smith College is located in Northampton, Mass., two hours from Boston and three hours from New York City. Smith is one of the largest liberal arts schools for women in the country. The school has more than 100 student organizations, which range from Bad Seeds, a botany group, to Crapapella, one of several a cappella groups on campus. The Smith Pioneers have 14 NCAA Division III varsity sports that compete in the Eastern College Athletic Conference. 另外，藤校里一個助教授的推薦信往往比那些小大學的教授寫的更有分量。
