To braket:

第一句中的how改為how come是不是更好?
"How come?" seems better.

第一段中gocery改為goceris是不是更好?

Another version

Someone tried but did not finish (who was confused and forced to stop in the middle):

I exercise every Tuesday for my health. And after that I go for that week's grocery shopping at a supermarket a kilometer from my house. I then carry all the groceries home on my own by crossing through the busy streets. For several months I have been competing with housewives who throw sympathetic looks at me. I now came to a conclusion that I want to share with you.

To be a successful shopper, one should look out for opportunities. The shops near my house gives some good discounts every Tuesday, sometimes at half price so that one can get plenty of food for as little as 99 yen per unit. That is the very reason I visit the shops only on Tuesdays. But even so I have to hold onto my chance--those housewives are usually better at filling their baskets with fresher and better items before I can even find them...

a sense of feeling

When the house wives throw you the sympathic look, you can be more descriptive on how your felt at that moment.

Phrase
Language is for communication. Either way of saying it does express the same idea. how you say it is a matter of personal preferrence. Beauty is on the eyes of beholder.
Where did the phrase " Beauty is on the eyes of the beholder" comes from?

thx everyone

I've to say I really get surprised to see so many warm-hearted friends and teachers. I will carefully read all those contributions especially those from Adelyn, vhalitluos and chemgirl after I finish my thesis.
However it seems quite hard to write English as native as possible in a Japanese language environment. Also it is a bit difficult to speak English as native as possible because most of the international students are from Asian countries. I've tried my best to improve the language ability, but unfortunately I could not find any change. (or I am not dedicated enough?) I got majored in science after all and came here for new ideas and technologies. This may be the biggest excuse? I think many friends studying in Japan or some other countires might have the same feeling.
My shopping life continues and will continue in the foreseeable future. But there are some differences: I use a bicycle to save time, I do not care much about the prices now and I go to the swimming pool for exercises to waste more money.
