High school in North America, how do you like it? That』s the question my former classmates / friends ask me a lot. Since I』ve been studying at a Canadian high school for almost a year, Id like to share some pics I』ve taken so that you may have an idea of what school life in Canada looks like.
Life here is generally quite fun and safe and I』ve made lots of new friends from China, Singapore, Korea and other countries. Most of the time we』re busy with study, but the school has many ways to make us relaxed: parties, Halloweens, fundraising activities, Sprit Week, Wacky Day and so on.
Christmas Party of 2009
I really regret that, when I was a kid, I spent little time learning musical instruments. Everyone here can sing, dance or play an instrument. That really made me jealous! Some pics are kind of fuzzy; pls don』t blame me because I』m not a pro.

These dancers are quite slim and are able to make some nimble moves. By the way, hip hop clothing and weird hairdo are usually not allowed at our school. The school has its dress code and we have to observe it. That』s the rule.

Rock and Roll Band
Everyone at our school knows this band made of mostly Asian students.
Street dance by Caribbean students
Caribbean girls are always full energy and their dance is quite hot. Caribbean students all speak very good English (without North American accent though) because it』s the Official language of many countries there. Haiti, the country ravaged by earthquake months ago is also a Caribbean country, but they speak French. We donated money for the earthquake relief too and I』ll show some pics later.
Celebrating Spring Festival
Teachers from China made dumplings for us and we all enjoyed the meal. The handmade dumplings taste much better than those we bought from the frozen food section at supermarkets!

Real Guitar Hero --- a schoolmate from South America.
Hamilton is only one hour's ride from Toronto (to the North) and the Niagara Falls (to the South, border of USA).
It's not as large and bustling as Toronto. It has a population of half a million and lots of Asians are studying here, mostly at McMaster University and our school. Here's McMaster:

Sure. It's now back to school season, the hallway is full of new and returning students. By the way, do you know Super Boy Contest in China? I'm sure you do, it's called 超級男聲. I heard that one of the top 5 - Tan Jiexi graduated from our school. He's nicknamed "teeth brace prince".
