劇情簡介
　　本片是英國鬼才導演彼得傑克森結合最新電影特效的魔幻作品，根據托爾金暢銷全球的經典小說「魔戒三部曲」改編，並以三部曲的方式拍攝，【首部曲─魔戒現身】描述史前世界中，一位名叫佛羅多巴金的年輕人，無意中得到了一隻魔戒。
　　這隻戒指擁有無窮的神秘力量，戒指原來是黑暗君王索倫所有的，卻意外地到了佛羅多手裡。佛羅多決定將戒指摧毀，以免索倫奪回去鞏固自己的勢力。索倫為了阻止佛羅多，於是派出了手下的怪獸加以追殺，一場正邪大戰眼看著一觸即發…
　　本片背景是在神秘的史前時代，由一場正邪戰役所引發的長篇故事，這個拯救人類的危險任務落在年輕的哈比族人─佛羅多巴金身上，他從表哥巴伯那裡得到了一指無邪的魔幻戒指。
　　佛羅多發現這隻戒指的製造者是黑暗魔君索倫，而索倫正急著要把戒指找回去。因為這隻戒指是代表偉大邪惡勢力的魔戒，將使索倫統治下的人民得到解放，而他統治的這片土地就是俗稱的中土世界（Middle Earth）。
　　匆忙之下，佛羅多結合了一些救援力量包括了術士小精靈、侏儒及人類，一起協助他前往中土世界，將戒指丟入魔宮之洞的末日山脈中加以摧毀...

《魔戒》第二集的故事講述護戒聯盟中的哈比人梅利與皮平被奧克斯擄走，護戒使者們不得不分頭行事：弗拉多與好友山姆繼續向索隆領地莫都(Modor)進發，途中他們制服了也在瘋狂尋找魔戒的怪物古魯姆(Gollum)，魔戒曾經為他帶來了長壽與隱身之道直到弗拉多的前輩畢爾博拿走了這枚戒指。由於通向莫都的路途十分艱險，而末日山就在莫都的北面，所以弗拉多與山姆不得不依靠古魯姆的幫助。除了要時刻提防心懷鬼胎的古魯姆，以及強大的魔戒幽靈，弗拉多還要抵禦魔戒對其心靈愈來愈強的侵蝕，可謂生死一線，險情迭出……
　另一面護戒使者阿拉貢、萊格拉斯與吉穆利則與成功逃離奧克斯營地的梅利與皮平會合，並加入人類族群羅翰國(Rohan)的隊伍準備對邪惡的白衣術士薩茹曼的領地伊森加德發動進攻。而此時黑魁首索隆也策動其奧克斯部隊向羅翰的首都埃多拉斯進發，精靈族與人類的聯盟將遭到黑魔法獸兵強大戰鬥力與薩茹曼邪惡魔法的雙重挑戰！緊要關頭甘多夫再度現身，更從灰衣法師升至法力無邊的白衣法師，雙方一場惡戰在所難免！

第三張2003 The Lord of the Rings III The Return of the King 王者歸來 OST只下好16，18，19。
