美國選舉后的民主

2016 美國總統大選已經勝者為王。 但看川普的勝選演講，希來利敗選演說和奧巴馬的選后表態，可以看出民主選舉的可貴之處。

川普說：「美國現在要治癒分裂的創傷。要團結起來。全國所有的共和黨人，民主黨人或獨立人士，現在是時候讓我們團結成一人。

Now it』s time for America to bind the wounds of division; have to get together. To all Republicans and Democrats and independents across this nation, I say it is time for us to come together as one united people.

It』s a movement comprised of Americans from all races, religions, backgrounds and beliefs who want and expect our government to serve the people, and serve the people it will.

川普當選了，他要做的就是領導美國人民為更強大的美國儘力。

希來利敗選了，她說：「昨晚我祝賀川普並提出為我們的國家和他一起努力。

Last night I congratulated Donald Trump and offered to work with him on behalf of our country.

And one thing you realize quickly in this job is that the presidency, and the vice presidency, is bigger than any of us.

無論現任總統與接班總統觀念有多大分歧，順利和平移交權力壓倒一切。

美國的民主體現了在競選時各抒己見，互相紛爭，絲毫不讓步。在選后，都理性接受選舉結果，不分黨派，合力為國家的興旺而努力。

當然金無足赤，人無完人。川普當選也有不平之聲。美國的憲法民主制度保證了總統的權利和人民對政府的監督。總統執政無力或偏離人民的期望，憲法又提供給人民彈劾總統的權利。

至於那些和平上街遊行的民眾，他們也是用憲法賦予的權利表達自己的意願。但是那些造成騷亂，打砸放火，燒國旗的不法分子理應受到法律的制裁。

這種民主制度是美國的立國之本。
